A major new release of Malcolm’s piano works, performed by Nathan Williamson, is out on Lyrita. The album features Piano Sonatas 5 and 6, as well a cycle of eight Nocturnes, some of which have never been previously performed.

A premiere recording by Duncan Honeybourne of Malcolm’s work for solo harpsichord, Metamorphosis, has just been released on Prima Facie Records. It is Volume 1 part of a wider collection of British harpsichord works by a range of composers. Metamorphosis was written for the late Heather Slade-Lipkin, who gave the first performance in 1974.
NEW RELEASE - Summer 2021
A premiere recording by the Aurora Trio of Malcolm’s Harp Trio has been released on EM Records. It is part of a wide-ranging disc by the dynamic and award-winning Trio, who have also performed the work at a range of concerts around the UK.

A major new release Recollections went live on 10 July. It includes new recordings alongside a re-release of three works performed by the Nash Ensemble on a Hyperion disc.
NEW RELEASE - Summer 2019
A recording of Invocation has just been released by Leon Bosch, for whom the work was written by Malcolm in 2013. It is available on Meridian Records.
MEMORIAL CONCERT - October 2018
A memorial concert for Malcolm Lipkin was held at St Anne's Church in Lewes on 6 October, 2018. Organised by New Music Brighton, it featured a range of chamber pieces by Malcolm, including the rarely performed Five bagatelles for oboe and piano.
NEW RELEASE - JULY 2018
A recording of 'The Journey', written for recorderist John Turner in memory of composer John McCabe was released in June 2018 on the Divine Art Recordings label as part of the CD Rawsthorne and other rarities.
Another piece, In Memoriam John McCabe, was released earlier in the year and the CD received a very positive reception. Reviews can be found on Music Web International and in Gramophone.
